| Firstly, thank you for taking the time out to help us newbies.
I am a one woman Punk Rock artist called Fruity Fruity Frankenstein and as of now I have only the Punk Rock skill which I acquired from my mother. I was considering performing lead vocals as well as electric guitar but am not sure if that would be the best route to go. As I've already said, your help is much appreciated.

| Welcome GHAA Ethel!
I advice you to begin with manuals section in the beginning. It's still under construction but i'm sure you'll get very necessary stuff there. After that, return back to your own thread and shout your requests. We'll take care of them soon.
Nice bandname btw ; ) | |

| Thank you both ;)
I am a few days away from learning Basic Singing from a mistress after which I will need Lead Vocals. I've read the manuals, which are extremely helpful btw, and would like to know if it is a better idea to remain a solo act or start looking for new members? Either way I think I will be taking up Electric guitar which requires Basic String Instruments and Play the Electric Guitar.

| Each has it's advantages of course.
As a solo artist you can decide your own course, where to tour, and what kind of repertoire you want to build up.
Then again, when you are with multiple persons in a band, you can divide duties.
I am the record producer for my band, and another member has learned the skill to produce videos. Two out of three have specialised in composing songs, and the other one is getting all the stageskills. Things go a bit quicker, and the more people you have the more you see, hear and can do :) But it is a bit of a compromise. You need to take others into account.

| A good band always helps. Be careful and picky while creating your band or joining one ; )
Clayton will be in NY soon, if you drop here a list of the basic items you'll need, he may provide you.

| Okay, I think I'll stick to being solo for a while then.
I have already purchased a microphone and am working on getting an electric guitar. What I would need are the books basic composing, basic lyrics, basic string instruments if it's possible.

| Do you have an apartment in New York? I will be there in a few days. If so I can at least drop Basic Strings. I need to deliver quite a few books in London tomorrow, and got some for New York as well, so please take the ones you need most. Unfortunately I still don't have an eternal source of money ;) | |

| Yes I can. If you would like to Unlock the doors of that apartment in 4 days or so, I can come in and drop the books there. All you need to do after that, is pick them up and read them :) | |

| Welcome Ethel! A little tip from me: You can be a lead singer and a guitar player, that's true! Though, you know what I did? I killed 2 birds in one shot Basic Dancing is a stage skill (stage skill = important stuff ) and Dancer is also a possible role in a band. So, after I learnt Basic Singing and Lead Vocals, I learnt Basic Dancing. It helped me perform better on stage, and it's also my second role in the band. Plus, it's only 1 skill, you don't have basic and "play the..", so it's also a lot faster! That's what I did and what I'll always advice to a new player | |
