| When composing songs, would it be best to put all the instruments that your band members have?
Also, when covering a song, are there penalties if you do not have the original instruments assigned to the song?

| 1. Yes, it's the best. Put all instruments (or vocals) that your bandmembers can play (or sing)
2. Afaik, song's potential won't be fulfiled if you lack original instruments. For example, if the song you're covering have pianos, cellos and acoustic guitar and your band is playing it with drums, bass and electric guitars, result won't be good as the band covering the same song with pianos and drums. Of course, we're assuming all necessary instrument skills are the same.
I'm not real sure about the second statement, it's better to ask someone more experienced, like Clayton or Barend..

- Dominant Instruments
Whenever you write a new song you have to define which instruments it is mainly written for. A song's Dominant Instruments will be important when it comes to performing it on stage or in a studio.
You will always be able to perform a song live even if you don't have all the dominant instruments represented on stage. But chances are your score will be somewhat lowered.

| When Composing a song ... Do all the extra Options, like Melody type or tempo?
I thought that they sort of had something to do with what audience you were targeting...
ie. The older males might like presto ballad. xD And hence you would sell more to them?

| From what I've heard since the moment I joined.... The instruments when writing a song don't have importance at all... I always put mine (lead vocals) just in case, but I've never seen anything about it and everytime it was asked that's the answer I got: "doesn't matter". I play covers which I don't even check their instruments and I never cared, but they don't fail misserably or anything like that... | |

| My new song status: Melody: 100 % Lyrics: 75 %
Today I've 2 updates left, It that enough for completing my song. I'm going on vacation tomorrow morning .
If not what should I do, keep working on the song for a whole week, or something else and finish the song when I'm back.

| I finished my song Live @ Werchter 2007. It turned out mind melting [23].
Live @ Werchter 2007 is a Electronica Crowdpleaser. The tempo is Moderato. Written by Steven Hellemans and dated to 2007-08-10. The melody is earth shaking [24] and the lyrics are mind melting [23]. The originality of this song is terrific [18].
So It is finished, thats a good thing.
